The Volvo PV36 was popularly called “Carioca”. The car was silent, swift and a little controversial. It was built from 1935 - 1938, 500 pieces in total and 1 (!) cabriolet. The six-cylinder-in-line with side valves of 3670 cc delivered 80 hp at 3300 rpm.
